16.09.09 - Tasting of Domaine de la Cristia Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2005
Neil brought a bottle of this home to have with dinner and wow was it impressive. A lot more impressive than my food, it was dark, rich, juicy, fruit forward and succulent. Beautiful spicy notes too. At £18.95 per bottle, I have to say that it represents amazing value and will also cellar for many years. No wonder this domaine is regarded as one of the up-and coming new superstar producers in Chateauneuf du Pape! We have only 22 bottles of this left so you have to be quick.
